Getting to Avery Hill Campus by Bike and Foot
Bike
Information on cycle routes is available from Transport for London. The ride from Greenwich Campus takes from 30 minutes, using the suggested route on Google maps.
You can park your bike at various bike parking locations on campus. TfL provide useful advice on bike security.
There are lockers and showers provided in the Mansion Building (to rear of Norbert Singer Lecture Theatre), Bronte Building South entrance and in the David Fussey Building both on Southwood site.
A floor pump and emergency repair kit can be used from the Gatehouse at Southwood Site.
Foot
You can walk to Campus from Falconwood Station, New Eltham Station and Eltham town centre. There is a shortcut from New Eltham Station via Sparrows Farm (see link below). There is no direct access on foot through Avery Hill Park between Mansion Site and Southwood Site.
Local walking routes:
- Falconwood train station to Mansion Site is just short of one mile and takes 12–15 minutes
- New Eltham train station to Southwood Site is one mile and takes 12-15 minutes
- Eltham High Street is less than a mile from Mansion site and also takes 12-15 minutes
- Mansion Site to Southwood Site is under half a mile and takes less than 10 minutes
- Avery Hill Park perimeter is around 1.5 miles.
