Statement of Intent
Approved by Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Margaret Noble
The Business School of the University of Greenwich supports the introduction of the Diploma in Travel and Tourism and endorses the development of personal thinking and learning skills as preparation for study in Higher Education.
We are delighted to welcome applicants who hold the Advanced Diploma in Travel and Tourism (level 3). Learners undertaking the Advanced Diploma in Travel and Tourism will have the same progression opportunities as those undertaking A-levels, BTECs and other Level 3 qualifications.
We recognise the value of applied learning along with employer and Higher Education involvement in the delivery of the Advanced Diploma in Travel and Tourism, and believe this will benefit learners and their higher level studies.
The Advanced Diploma in Travel and Tourism will provide a key progression route into related undergraduate programmes and we look forward to introducing progression agreements when the content of the Advanced Diploma in Travel and Tourism is finalised.
