Professional qualifications

BA English, MA ESL, MA PCET, PGCE, MIL, (Professional membership of the Institute of Linguists, UK) FIFL, (Fellow of the Institute for learning, UK) Dr Gordon Ade-Ojo also holds a number of teaching related qualifications including the Skills for Life Quality and Management award, Skills for Life training the Teacher-trainer award, as well as the professional trainer and assessor awards (D32&D33). He is also LLUK sector Network Co-ordinator.

Personal Profile

Dr Gordon Ade-Ojo has worked in teaching and training for the past 25 years.  He started his teaching career in HE teaching a range of ESL and linguistics courses.  After a period working in industry as a trainer and assessor he managed curriculum and programme areas in various further education colleges.  Dr Gordon Ade-Ojo now leads on the delivery of the subject specialist course in literacy in addition to teaching on a range of PGCE/PCE programmes including MLE, IPV, PPP and TYS.

Dr Gordon Ade-Ojo is involved in research and his areas of focus include the crossover between sociolinguistic and literacy acquisition and the issue of philosophical value in SfL curriculum development.

He has published several articles, contributed a chapter in a book and authored two monographs.
