Discourse, Power, Resistance Team
| Jerome Satterthwaite has been co-ordinator of the Discourse, Power, Resistance conferences since the first in 2002, and has been lead editor of the seven volumes of the associated Discourse, Power, Resistance book series published by Trentham Books. He is a member of the editorial board of Power and Education. | ![]() |
| Pat Sikes is Professor of Qualitative Inquiry at the University of Sheffield. She has been involved with DPR since 2002. Throughout her career, Pat’s work has focused on and combined the study of educators' lives and careers, concern for social justice and the development of auto/biographical and narrative research approaches. | ![]() |
| Heather Piper is a Professorial Research Fellow at the Institute of Education, Manchester Metropolitan University. She has been involved with DPR for the past 4-5 years. Her work mainly focuses on issues of social justice and tends to be contrarian in its approach towards social policy. | ![]() |
| Jill Jameson is the Director of Research and Enterprise in the School of Education and Training at the University of Greenwich. Born in Zimbabwe, she has many years experience of senior management and research in education. She’s particularly interested in issues connected with trust, leadership, widening participation and digital divide/e-learning. | ![]() |
