Ports and Ferries Conference
13th - 14th June 2007
Following two extremely successful conferences on the challenges and solutions facing passenger transport in the 21st century, the Greenwich Maritime Institute in association with ShipShape International and Lloyd’s Register-Fairplay organised its third event.
Entitled ‘Ports & Ferries: Partners in 21st Century European Trade’, this two-day Conference was held in the outstanding historic location of the Old Royal Naval College, University of Greenwich.
A panel of speakers from the academic world and passenger, freight transport and ports industries shared their expertise and experiences on a range of issues affecting the ferry and ports industry including marketing, customer perspectives, security, vessel design, marketing analysis and insights.
We extend our thanks to ShipShape International, all of the speakers and all of the delegates for their support in making this event a great success.
Dr Stephen Ladyman MP & Professor Sarah Palmer
The conference provided delegates with a superb networking opportunity in an exceptional environment.

The delegates were also lucky enough to be at the Unviersity of Greenwich on the day when the Ark Royal arrived in Greenwich. An unexpected treat!
