For invited guests only, the purpose was to consider the principal legal issues around trends in the rights of seafarers and proposals for reform, and to consider alternative ways of achieving advances in law and practice.
The symposium was in celebration of a book called Seafarers’ Rights which as recently been published by Oxford University Press and many of the contributors attended this event. One of those contributors was Professor Alastair Couper, GMI Professor of Maritime Policy.
