Brian James - Marine Society Prize
On the 10th October 2007 Brian James attended the Annual Court of the Marine Society and Sea Cadets and accepted the 2007 prize for outstanding achievement.
Brian joined the GMI in September 2004 and began his Masters degree in Maritime History on a part-time basis. He attended the graduation ceremony in July 2007 and was delighted to have achieved a clear distinction in his degree. His tutors all agreed that he was an outstanding student and fully deserved to be awarded the 2007 prize from the Marine Society and Sea Cadets.
The final element of work that Brian submitted to complete his degree was his dissertation entitled 'The End of the Russian War, 1855-1856' which was an original piece of an incredibly high standard.
The GMI would like to offer their congratulations to Brian and to thank the Marine Society and Sea Cadets for the prize that they very kindly awarded.
