Hannah Cunliffe
Hannah Cunliffe recently completed a Masters in Maritime History at the GMI and is seen here accepting a prize for outstanding achievement awarded by
The Marine Society and Sea Cadets. Her dissertation was based on the training of Marine Society boys from 1820-1880 and re-assessed their life onboard ship, discipline and the character of the boys.
Hannah is now working as a freelance historical researcher specialising in maritime history and uses primary sources to research areas such as naval and merchant seamen, shipwrecks, shipping companies, migration and small boat history.
