GMI Annual Dinner 2007
This year's GMI Annual Dinner was held on 3rd May 2007 and was attended by 45 people who were made up of current students, graduates and members of staff.
The dinner was held in the Edinburgh Room in Queen Anne Court and the guests were separated into five tables named after flags of convenience.
The Welcome Address, the Loyal Toast and the Conclusion were all given by John Johnson-Allen, Grace was read by Trevor Ware, The GMI Toast was by Clive Chambers and the After-Dinner Speech was kindly given by Simon Culshaw.
The dinner was followed by a quiz on maritime matters led by Chris Ware and the winners were the Panama table who each won the special prize of a Cutty Sark keyring! A good time was had by all!
Thanks are extended to the student who wishes to remain nameless but who very kindly donated a significant amount of money towards the dinner which ensured that everyone was always able to have a full glass of wine.
