David Hilling is a maritime geographer who has published widely on the theme of international port development. Now retired from Royal Holloway College, University of London, where he was Senior Lecturer in geography, he is Vice-President of the Inland Waterways Association. In 2004 David’s tireless campaigning for the promotion of inland waterborne freight was recognised in the award of an MBE. |
