I joined the GMI as its Administrator in 2004. My job is to keep everyone and everything in the GMI organised! I have a BA in Business Studies and an MSc in Education Management. The focus of my MSc dissertation was on the sustainability of maritime business education in UK universities. I therefore have a good understanding of maritime education and also the pressures of being a recent postgraduate student. As well as ensuring that the GMI office runs smoothly I also take a leading role in organising the various conferences, symposiums, public lectures/seminars and other events that the GMI hosts. I am on the directorate for the London Universities Maritime Law and Policy Group, I provide the administrative support for the Greenwich Forum and I am also currently the Centenary Administrator for the Society for Nautical Research. I also represent the GMI at the Campus Health & Safety Committee, Moodle Migration Group, Telephone Migration Group, Parablis Liaison Group and act as Sustainability Champion to name just a few! |
