Case Studies in Maritime Policy
Building on knowledge gained from other core courses (in particular Methods Problems and Issues in Maritime Policy, International Maritime Law and The Economics of International Shipping) this course provides students with the opportunity to examine aspects of policy formulation and implementation through the medium of case studies, involving discussions with policy-makers. Students will therefore be able to discuss general issues of maritime policy through reference to practical examples and have an enhanced awareness of the factors influencing the formulation and implementation of policy.
Students are assessed on one essay of 4000 words.
