Getting to Greenwich Campus by Bike and Foot

Bike

Cycle routes to Campus are provided online by Transport for London. The journey from Avery Hill Campus takes around 30 minutes by bike. Use the link provided for a suggested route on Google maps.

Cycling is not permitted on the campus except along the designated cycle path adjacent to the river.

Bike storage is provided at the following locations and additional secure storage is being planned:

  • Queen Anne car park behind the East Gate Lodge
  • West Gate entrance
  • Dreadnought Library
  • Stephen Lawrence Building

TfL provide useful advice on bike security.

A floor pump and emergency repair kit can be borrowed from the East Gate Security Lodge.

Showers are available in the Queen Anne Building – North end on the first floor. New showers and lockers are being planned for autumn 2011.

Foot

Walking is a great way to stay fit and healthy. The Campus is connected to many footpaths including the Thames River Path. The Greenwich foot tunnel provides access on-foot between Greenwich and the Isle of Dogs north of the river.

For more general cycling information see the Cycling and Walking page.
