History: Theory and Practice

This course studies the political, moral and philosophical issues raised by the practice of history. How do historians study the past? What is its importance to us? There is a more practical element of historical method in the second half of the course, which will involve you in project work. (This course is only suitable for students who are taking at least one other history course).
