CoverThe BA Politics degree provides a flexible and rigourous training in Political Studies.

At level one, Politics students take recommended courses together with a choice of courses from a wide variety of other disciplines within the School.

At level two, students follow a more specialised programme of study, choosing two 'core' courses, one 'option' course and one 'elective' course which can be chosen froma wide variety of other disciplines within the School.
 
At level three, students undertake three advanced 'special subjects' as well as an 'elective' course.  They may undertake a dissertation, or year-long work placement instead of one of these taught courses.

Combining Politics with another subject

It is also possible to combine Politics with another subject. For example BA Hons Politics with French or BA Hons Politics and Philosophy. For further information on combined honours and details of possible combinations, see the online prospectus.
