The Chemical Society
The Chemical Society is the University at Medway's scientific community.
One of our main aims is to provide forums and networking between year groups and tutors, to remove barriers between subjects and levels of study to better your own learning and support from those around you. As a team we can achieve anything. This will be helped along the way by our website which includes video tutorials on labs, links to resources, tips and guides to studying , learning and we have more planned in the pipeline. We will be running regular workshops on subjects from those that have done it all before. and can offer their experience on the matter, and forums for popular topics that you are stuck on!
The Chemical Society aims to bring you the best educational support and guidance you could need during your studies. Not restricted to just students or certain year groups, the ChemSoc is a network of students, lecturers, post-grads and beyond, so you're never too far away from support, or just a chat with someone who understands what you're talking about!
We plan on organising plenty of social events such as themed trips to places such as Thorpe Park, bowling, quizzes and visits as well as academic based outings to industry, organisations, seminars and conferences.
We have links to local industry and the Royal Society of Chemistry, Europes largest scientific organisation, which offers, on a much larger scale, what we hope to offer you, and much more besides.
