Human Nutrition at the University of Greenwich
If you are fascinated by the role of diet on human health then our human nutrition programme is well placed for you. Peoples understanding of the interaction between nutrition and health has been increasing over the years from epidemiological studies through to research at the cell level which has given us a better understanding of nutrient-gene interaction. The central theme of this programme is to develop an understanding of how the body works, how it is affected by diet, and how we can then use this research to promote better health and well being both nationally and internationally.
A degree in human nutrition provides a clear career structure both in the private and public sector, and also allows you to go on to further study. We are currently seeking accreditation of the programme by the professional body, the Nutrition Society, as this will help open doors for future employment.
