Workshop 5

Soil Treatment in the South East Workshops

Workshop 5, Monday 14th September 2009

Organised by the Kent and Medway Contaminated Land Forum

A workshop for developers, consultants, landowners, waste operators and regulators to discuss the need for soil treatment in the SE , the need for soil treatment centres for construction and demolition wastes, including contaminated soils and the concept of anthrosoil.

Soil has been recognised as a vital resource not only in the short term but in the longer term as a factor in the reduction of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere.

The workshop will explore a range of soil improvement issues from the management of waste through to increasing the carbon storage capacity of the soil.

This workshop will provide an excellent opportunity for developers, landowners, technology providers, waste operators, local authority officers, consultants and development agencies to discuss the future in a proactive workshop.

There will be opportunities for poster board displays by contractors and consultants.

Stands will be charged at £200 and poster papers £50. Stand space is limited so please book early.
