Biomedical Science
Key Staff: Paul Dyer
The School of Science can offer the opportunity of tailormade training workshops in Biomedical Science to suit an organisation’s needs. Training provides an opportunity to educate staff in the meaning of laboratory results, focusing on individual organ systems as well as the body as a whole. The workshops use case studies to develop an understanding of laboratory parameters and what they mean in terms of disease or tissue injury. A recent event held at a multinational pharmaceutical company based in London provided the following positive feedback.
“Learned how to use my clinical background knowledge in analysis of lab results for our subjects.”
“Better understanding of the many reports I will receive during 2008/9.”
“Very useful. Really enjoyed the case study workshops. Glad I attended!”
“Thank you very much for an interesting day. Well-spaced training.”
“All case studies in biochemistry and haematology were very good and drew on information in other sessions.”
