Biography
Bettina obtained her BSc (Hons) in Sport Science and Biology from the University of Hannover/Germany in 1995. She took up a position in a Rehabilitation Centre for musculo-skeletal rehabilitation whilst obtaining a taught Masters degree in Exercise Rehabilitation at the School for Physiotherapy in Wuerzburg/Germany.
With a background in business she built her company for Exercise Rehabilitation and Personal Training in Brighton in 1998 after moving to the UK in December1997. A former swimmer and Volleyball player her personal interest was focused on injuries of the shoulder and lower back.
In 2003 she joined the University of Greenwich as a Lecturer in Exercise Physiology and was promoted to Senior Lecturer level in 2005. Subsequently she has taken over the Academic Tutorship for all level I sport science students.
In 2007 she was appointed as the coordinator between the South London Lifelong Learning Network and Department for Life and Sport Science that focuses on alternative learner and their progression at University. Part of her role is to act as a link tutor between Greenwich University and Partner Colleges.
Bettina continues to be registered with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science and the American College of Sports Medicine.
