5. Accredited Programmes
The Biomedical Science degree is accredited by the National body and we have the FIRST biosciences degree to be approved by the Institute of Biology. Our Chemistry degree is recognised by the RSC and we are also in the process of accrediting our Nutrition and Forensic Science Degrees.

We have very close links with Industry who sponsor a range of research programmes within the School. The links with Industry also benefit our students as they have an opportunity to meet major employers during our employability days.

The Campus has a number of thriving sports clubs, A mixed hockey team, two football teams, a cricket team as well as student societies that have sprung out of the School of Science.

Nearly 90% of our graduates go to employment or further study – this is higher than the national average for a science school.

The university recently spent over £1.5m on the facilities within the School of Science. We have state of the art laboratories and some of the best sports science facilities in the South East.
10. International Outlook
The School has an active relationship with the University of Modern Science and Arts (MSA) in Cairo. Currently over 1000 MSA students are also enrolled on School of Science degrees in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
