Launching the Single Equality Scheme

Launching the Single Equality Scheme

Later this year the university will launch a Single Equality Scheme (SES) that will bring together all equality legislation in the institution.

Why introduce a Single Equality Scheme (SES)?

While launching the new SES is partly in order to meet the legal obligations created by the new Equality Bill presently going through the UK parliament, it will furthermore aid our goal of creating an environment which is open, accessible and welcoming of all people from all communities and backgrounds.

Get involved

Members of the university community, including all staff and students, are encouraged to get involved in the consultation in order to inform the actions that are identified in the SES, through a series of planned activities.

If you would like to get involved, visit the SES website where you can find more information on the Single Equality Scheme and how to contact us.
