This Personal Development Planning website has been designed to help you, as a student of the University of Greenwich, to manage your learning and skills building in ways that will help you to succeed academically and to lay the foundations for a successful career. The tools and resources that we provide allow you to:

  • record achievements
  • identifying strengths weaknesses in your skills profile
  • reflecting on your progress
  • setting targets and aims through action plans for the future
There are many reasons for tracking your progress in this way. It allows you to actively reflect on what and how you are learning, even as you are doing it. This in turn allows you to

  • improve your articulacy and nouns in terms of employability
  • gain confidence and self awareness in your study and your methods of communication
  • improve your positive mentality

The Guidance & Employability Team provide a tool for personal development planning (PDP) to allow you to record and plan your progress as you study. This tool, named Keynotes, was developed nationally by graduate careers professionals, as a stand-alone module for students with no access to a course-based PDP package.

Remember, your School may well have a tailored PDP tool or module that they would prefer you to use. Check with your School first before adopting Keynotes, or speak to a member of the Guidance & Employability Team on how best to use the tool.
