Study Skills

Before you arrive at the university you may want to test out your study skills to see how prepared you are for academic work. We've provided a selection of resources for you to use, in order to get an idea of what to expect and where you're at.

Study skills at the university

Visit the Study Skills website

We have a dedicated study skills team at the university providing support to students throughout the year. They do so through their comprehensive website, through their workshops, or you can arrange to have some individual support from our friendly tutors! Once you've arrived, you'll be able to access all their services, including some useful resources on the university portal. In the meantime, why not have a look at some of their online resources.

Although this programme is primarily aimed at international students there are many sections which Home & EU students may find useful, including Managing Your Coursework and Using What You Read in Your Academic Writing

The programme is an interactive pre-arrival tool which aims to give you an idea of what academic life is like.
